Newborn Pics!

In case you are wondering, we are doing great! I'm finally feeling pretty good, and ready to get out of the house! Brighton and I try to get out at least once a day, even if it's just to get a beverage. He's such a little angel, we just can't get enough. He struggles a little bit with his sleeping schedule. Actually, I guess he feels fine about his sleeping schedule, I'm the one that is struggling! Ha! He thinks the night is day and the day is night. He will sleep all day long, and then at night he'll be up for a couple hours at a time. I asked his pediatrician what I could do. He asked if when I was pregnant if Brighton was pretty active at night. Brighton was SO active at night, the party was just starting for him when I was going to sleep, fortunately I was able to sleep through him swirling around in my tummy. The Dr. said that since that was the case when he was in my belly, it's not going to change now that he is out... He said that I could try to correct his schedule, but it may be more work that it's worth. How depressing. My Mom has been great though! She will usually take Brighton in the morning for a couple hours so I can get some "good" sleep. I find it difficult to turn off my brain most of the time though, so it's never that great.

He's starting to chub up, which I love! He has a little double chin, and Aaron's favorite are his knees. They have little rolls on them. He thinks it's so awesome. Aaron also loves Brighton's sneezes, they are pretty funny. He'll do like 3-5 in a row! Then his arms will just reach out and get all frantic with every one, so cute. He is a very loved baby. Everyone is always wanting to hold him and love him in this household. My Mom thinks it's pretty funny, I'm like a sniffle/cough/sneeze nazi! If any of the kids have any of these symptoms, I make it very clear that they are to stay far far away. We also have hand sanitizer all over the house, so anytime one of the kids wants to hold him, I make them lather up their hands & arms.

We seem to be going through diapers like crazy! Aaron is freaking out, he's told me to try not to use so many, I just laugh at him. Brighton's favorite thing to do is fill a diaper full of pee, then I think to myself that there should be some poop to follow soon, so I'll wait a good while before changing his diaper. Once it's been a good stretch of time & he hasn't done #2, I'll take him to change his diaper. Well usually not even a minute after having a fresh clean diaper on, he'll have a major blow out... it's so frustrating, yet funny. It doesn't matter how long you wait for him to do his business, it's like he won't do it unless he has a clean diaper on.

Brighton changes so much everyday it seems like. He's getting so much bigger & he has such a funny personality. He's very stubborn, which doesn't surprise me too much, since both Aaron and I are very stubborn people. We just love him so much, and feel so blessed to have him in our lives!!
